If you forget to make a strawberry birthday cake for your 11 year old, but he gets a cell phone from Gigi and The Grands, you can put whatever candles you have on bakery cupcakes bought on the way home from dinner and all is well.

We did a Costco cake at my son's recent b-day party. Big mistake. 2/3 went in the trash. I wish we'd done cupcakes or brownies. I like the 4 and 8 -- at first I thought, oh, well they add to 11. But then my brain turned on.
Thanks for visiting my blog! When I quickly read your profile on blogger, I thought you had 4 boys between you, but now I see that you have 4 boys EACH. Yow-za. I'm so glad you have each other. Do you live near each other? My sister and her SIX kids are currently staying with us (in our modest 3-2 home). It is CHAOS all day long all day strong. 3 boys, 3 girls, and I'm not gonna say the girls are any calmer.
Isn't that true! Been saved by Grandma many a time...
