Mainbain's Eggstravaganza

I fell off the Monday morning breakfast wagon, and handed the reins over to Mainbain. To his credit, I was busy exercising and he just took the reins. Further confirmation, readers. His specialty is meat and eggs. Lots of both. His concoctions are always met with smiles and silence, since the baintrain is too busy eating to make a sound.

:: Mainbain Eggs-travaganza::

Sure to make your morning brighter, this recipe will fill up three growing, healthy kids and one bottomless-pit adolescent boy.

Over medium heat, brown 1/4 lb breakfast sausage and 8 slices of no nitrate bacon. (cut up the bacon into smallish bits)

While that was cooking, he mixed:

8 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
salt and pepper
After all the meat is cooked, add the egg mixture directly to the pan. Once the eggs are about halfway cooked, add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and 1/3 cup Cheese. Continue cooking until the eggs are completely set.

Serve immediately, and listen to the sounds of silence while your crew scarfs it down.

If you can get your hubs to do it, it will be your easiest Monday morning ever!

this post is linked all over the place, after all the mainbain deserves a bit of promotion too!

Oh this is fantastic! I had to cycle to the hill-top shop for supplies before cooking breakfast this morning- although I did actually quite enjoy it! Maybe you'll get a morning off tomorow as well...

Sounds fantabulous! :) I did Atkins for a few of the happiest years of my life! I miss all that meat and cheese!

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting earlier!

I need to make this. I get in a rut of fried eggs because they are just so darn easy (and yummy!).

Thanks for stopping by the Cellulite Investigation yesterday!
