The lake cottage was built in 1956 and is 3 and 1/2 bedrooms with low ceilings and just enough room for us all to fit in.....not much left over for sprawling out. I love it dearly and some of the boys favorite memories are being made there.
In contrast our house was built with 10 foot ceilings, so we could go without a/c till late in the summer. It's not a lot bigger square-footage-wise, but the ceilings make it deceiving.
When we walked in tonight after unloading all the bags and coolers and goggles and towels to be washed....butterbain said, "Wow, Mom, our house GREW!"
Feels like it, even to me!
