2 things

I've written before about our family meetings. In an effort to raise emotionally healthy and available boys we recently added a feelings exercise. So we ask each boy a feeling question (i.e. how do you feel when you help someone?) and then give them a list of feelings demonstrated by different faces and they point and talk about that feeling. It's fun, no real huge breakthroughs yet, but I am in the camp that progress in incremental. So we plod on. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

We had a meeting last night and hours later as I was helping butterbain get his pj's on he asks, "How does it make you feel when I put my boots on?" I guess he has been paying attention in spite of all the squirming around....

This morning at breakfast we were talking about a movie that just came in from Netflix. We were discussing the possibility of watching it tonight. As I was explaining the basic premise, mexicanjumpingbain cut me off with this zinger: "Mom, what I need to know-ooww is there ANY action?" And for the record, his favorite movie is The Italian Job.

I think this puts me at 1 for 1 -
