On the way into basketball practice tonight, Number 1 asks, "Mom, what does 'triton' mean?"
I answer, "Hmmmmmm. (clearly stalling) Oh, I think it is that weapon thing that character in The Little Mermaid has." Best I could come up with.
"No, that is a trident," he says smugly.
As another reminder of my mental deterioration, as I am trying to occupy Number 3 and 4 with coloring books during The Big Boys' basketball practice, Number 3 comes out with, "Look My Mom, (my new name apparently) it's azul. And this is rojo."
I felt a little better when I realized "triton" was part of the logo badge on the Ford truck we were parked next to. But it looks like I really do need to brush up on my Spanish.
Another day, another story,
Em
